Seth Bonder Undergraduates

Seth Bonder was a true pioneer in system-wide optimization, combining predictive models and optimization in military and health-care operations research, a topic which is attracting considerable attention nowadays. The chapter on Seth Bonder in the book Profiles in Operations Research, which covers the pioneers and innovators in the field, gives a remarkable account of his career and the lessons he learned while applying operations research to complex problems.

The Seth Bonder foundation is currently supporting undergraduate engineering students at the University of Michigan working in infrastructure optimization projects, including, but not limited to, transportation and energy systems. Interesting students with strong mathematical and programming skills  who are interested in working in a highly dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment should contact Pascal Van Hentenryck.
